The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles picked up their second win of the weekend Saturday night 84-66 against Trinity Lutheran to move to 5-1 on the season. After an emotional, hard fought win on Friday night the Eagles came out sluggish and trailed by 3 at the end of the first quarter. JCD took the lead into half 37-34 and then quickly took control of the game in the third quarter. Cold shooting from the Eagles from long range (6-25) combined with some hot shooting from three by the Cougars (12-26) kept the game close. However the game was decided by turnovers as the Eagles had just 10 to the Cougars 20 on the night. The Eagles were led by Caleb Simon who had his first double/double of the season with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Day added 20pts, Gehl 18pts, and Dickman chipped in 10pts. Christian Comer capped off a solid weekend on the defensive end and also had 5pts off the bench. Jac-Cen-Del will be back in action on Tuesday night at home vs Batesville.
